Chicago's Sweet Talk presents the second volume in Ice Age Records' "Cassingle Series". A departure from the long-winded, sloppy, pop-punk musings of Sweet Talk's "Bed" cassette, "With Friends Like You, Who Needs Friends?" is a desperate cry of rage and sass which leads into a juxtaposing jolt of sludgy, dark, down-tuned dissatisfaction in the form of His Hero Is Gone's "Chain Of Command". In a time where lines are drawn in punk for arbitrary reasons, it's important to remember: punx is punx.
